Facts

The City of Grande Prairie 2010 traffic counts for the two entrances into the Community Knowledge Campus counted over 26,000 vehicles per day entering the site. These entrances are directly across from the two entrances into Stone Ridge. When calculating in the new Eastlink Center traffic, new Composite School traffic, and the existing traffic counts, these two entrances will see around 9,000,000 vehicles per year.

Upon completion of the new Composite High School is completed, over 80% of all high school students will be located adjacent to Stone Ridge. This represents about 2,200 students daily.

Government projections anticipate a 7% increase in the grades 9-12 demographic by 2020, and a 30% growth of the K-3 demographic by 2020. Currently our district overall is growing at about a 6% increase.

Currently the Eastlink Center (Multiplex) is reporting an average of 2,100 visitors daily. This totals around 750,000 visitors yearly in the first six months of business and is expected to continue to grow.

The site is located east of 20 acres that is owned by the Grande Prairie Regional College.

The residential projections for the Stone Ridge area is approximately 1,700 people. This is in addition to the residential areas currently existing in Mission Heights, Pinnacle Ridge, and O’Brien Lake, which together have around 12,500 residents.
